Work is continuing at the former Jellyrolls location at Walt Disney World’s Disney’s BoardWalk, which is being overhauled for a new venue called The Hurly-Burly Jazz Club. Jellyrolls closed in early 2025.
According to WDW News Today, a large red awning has been installed along the left side of the building. The awning features scalloped edges with gold shell detailing, while rows of white lights have been placed above and below it. The windows now have thick white trim, and rolling planters and a green fence have replaced white construction walls in the area.
The main entrance does not yet have an awning. The double red doors were open during the reported construction update, with a crew member working nearby. A white seashell-shaped wall sconce has been installed, and the ceiling is covered with sheathing, possibly ahead of additional decorative work.
A view into the building offered a glimpse of the developing interior. The walls appeared dark blue or black and included large decorative panels, along with a single horizontal light fixture. Elsewhere around the building, another crew member was seen painting the white fence. Approximately a dozen electrical and service trucks were parked outside, suggesting that extensive interior work was taking place during the visit described by the outlet.
The Hurly-Burly Jazz Club has been described as being themed to a historic seaside theatre. The reported plans call for family-friendly activities, including trivia and games, during the afternoon. At night, the venue is expected to operate as a live music location for guests ages 21 and older, offering coastal-inspired cocktails and light bites.
Before Jellyrolls closed, the replacement venue was rumored to be a Disney-owned jazz club. WDW News Today also reported that Disney had reportedly begun casting performers for the new establishment near the end of 2025 and told them the venue was being considered for a 2026 debut. The former Jellyrolls owners have announced plans to open a new location in the Lake Buena Vista area later this year.
