Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is scheduled to open at Walt Disney World Resort on July 1, 2027, with reservations beginning in October, according to an update published by Disney Parks Blog. The proposed nature-inspired resort is being developed along the south shores of Bay Lake. Disney says it will include 967 rooms across several accommodation types, including duo studios, villas, resort studios, suites and new one- and two-bedroom waterfront Lake Houses. The freestanding Lake Houses will feature A-frame architecture, floor-to-ceiling windows, private waterfront porches, full kitchens, and washers and dryers. The one-bedroom units will sleep up to five guests, while the two-bedroom units will accommodate up to eight. Their interiors will include artwork inspired by Disney Animation’s Brother Bear, including a Northern Lights-inspired lighting feature in the primary bedroom. Other rooms will draw from Disney films including Encanto, Bambi, Fantasia and Pocahontas. Three-bedroom grand villas will sleep up to 12 guests and include multiple bathrooms, a full kitchen and a private patio with Bay Lake views. The resort will also offer a presidential suite sleeping up to six guests, along with select club-level rooms that provide access to The Artist’s Nest concierge lounge. Disney has also detailed the resort’s public spaces. The lobby will feature views of The Wetlands outdoor recreation area, a fiberoptic river inspired by Pocahontas and a blown-glass “Colors of the Wind” sculpture. Three announced dining locations are Moonglade, a table-service restaurant; Bay Lake Provisions, an all-day quick-service marketplace; and Paint Out Point Bar & Grill, a poolside venue. The resort will additionally include Dandelion Terrace, a lounge designed for views of Magic Kingdom Park fireworks, as well as recreation areas such as the zero-entry Lakeshore Lagoon pool, the Daydream River, Heron Shores, Otter Springs and Cypress Point. Reservation access will roll out in stages. Disney Vacation Club members can make early rental reservations beginning October 6, followed by Walt Disney World Annual Passholders on October 7. All guests can make reservations online or by phone beginning October 8.
