Theme Park Report

Vidanta’s BON Luxury Theme Park will open for a private preview on October 24, with access limited to guests staying at the BON Hotel at the Vallarta-Nuevo Nayarit resort, according to Theme Park Insider. The preview will mark the first opportunity for some guests to visit the new park, which is being developed in Mexico. Vidanta has described the preview period as an “extended period of exclusive access,” and no date has been announced for opening the park to the general public. BON is an acronym for “Beauty of Nature.” The park is planned around five themed lands and will include multiple restaurants, along with a nightly show featuring dancing lights and fountains. The park’s planned attractions include five roller coasters. Among them are Tecuani Beast, identified as a Vekoma Double Launch Coaster, and Ashara: Goddess of Fire, described as a Vekoma switchback coaster. Three additional family coasters are also planned. Vidanta has said that 14 attractions will be available for the preview debut. However, it was not clear from the report which specific attractions will be operating when the private preview begins. The October 24 date applies to the exclusive resort-guest preview rather than a full public opening. Theme Park Insider previously detailed the park’s attraction plans when the project was announced, but the latest report does not provide a general-public opening date.
