Theme Park Report

SeaWorld Orlando’s 2026 Halloween Spooktacular is offering families a daytime alternative to late-night Halloween events, with the celebration scheduled on select dates from Aug. 29 through Nov. 1. The event is included with regular SeaWorld admission on participating dates. Attractions Magazine, which has covered repeated visits to the event, described Spooktacular as a convenient option for families with younger children. Much of the trick-or-treating is concentrated in decorated areas designed to feel more like neighborhood streets than a park-wide hunt for candy. Guests can follow the trails at their own pace while also visiting SeaWorld’s animals and other attractions. The event’s decorations and activities include the Peek-a-Boo Cemetery, Pumpkin Garden and Storytime, Spooky Bubble Trail, Halloween Storytime with Big Bird, the Sesame Street Halloween Parade and character experiences. A small Peek-a-Boo maze near Journey to Atlantis is also available for children to explore. Although admission to Spooktacular is included with park entry, guests need a SeaWorld reusable trick-or-treat bag to collect candy. Attractions Magazine reports that the bags are usually priced at $3.99 plus tax. Adults can take part in the trick-or-treat trail, though the event is designed primarily for children. SeaWorld Orlando is also offering a Teal Pumpkin Program for guests with food allergies. Participants can collect teal tokens at trick-or-treat stations and exchange them for allergy-friendly items, usually trinkets, at Coconut Bay Traders. A new addition for 2026 is Hotel Transylvania. During the regular event, guests can meet Drac, Mavis and other characters and attend the Monster Movez Dance Party in Journey to Atlantis Plaza. These activities are included with park admission. For an additional charge, guests can attend the Hotel Transylvania Monster Breakfast at SeaFire Inn on Spooktacular mornings. The experience includes an all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast buffet, character meet-and-greets, dancing and interactive entertainment. Prices currently start at $35.99 for adults and $20.99 for children ages 3 through 9, with park admission required separately. Based on its coverage of the event, Attractions Magazine said the combination of daytime scheduling, included event access and child-focused activities makes Spooktacular a manageable Halloween tradition for families seeking costumes, candy and seasonal entertainment without a late-night party.
