Universal Studios Hollywood has set September 16 as the official opening date for Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift, according to Theme Park Insider. The date arrives just before the end of the summer opening window previously promised for the roller coaster.
The park has also opened its 2026 edition of Halloween Horror Nights. This year’s event includes the “Sinner” house and two original haunted-house concepts, though the report does not identify those additional concepts by name.
At Universal Orlando, the Animal Actors show is scheduled to close on November 2. Theme Park Insider described the production as one of the few remaining attractions from the opening day of Universal Studios Florida. E.T. and Horror Makeup Show were identified as the other remaining opening-day attractions, although Horror Makeup Show is currently closed for a rewrite and is expected to return in winter.
Efteling announced that its new Raveleijn show, Raveleijn: Battle for the City, will open December 1 alongside the new Ravenring ride. The park is spending €10 million on the show, which is being produced in collaboration with Puy du Fou.
Six Flags Magic Mountain’s promised announcement about its next attraction did not reveal the attraction itself, instead serving as an announcement that another announcement was forthcoming. The report also noted that the Arie family has announced the sale of the ArieForce One roller coaster. The RMC creation is expected to move to a new, undisclosed location.
Several personnel changes were also reported. Liseberg appointed Amanda Rydenstam as creative director, succeeding David Schofield. Rydenstam joins the park from Okidoki Architects, where she held the same title. Storyland Studios named Adam Moore its first vice president of story. Moore previously worked at Walt Disney Animation Studios and chaired the Department of Cinematic Arts at Cal State Long Beach.
The Themed Entertainment Association honored its 2026 TEA Masters: AOA co-founder Tom Acomb; Universal Creative’s Eric Baker and Patrice Ragusa; Groupe F’s Christophe Berthonneau; Animal Repair Shop’s Susan Bonds; RWS Global’s Paul Kent; and KirPaint founder Kirsten Ruhs.
