Aerial images show four Disneyland esplanade ticket booths reduced to rubble as work begins on preparations for a new pedestrian bridge. The bridge will connect the esplanade with a future parking structure and transportation hub planned as part of the DisneylandForward expansion project.
The Frontierland Shootin’ Exposition at Disneyland is scheduled to reopen September 11 after closing in early July. Scrims and scaffolding have been removed, revealing the attraction’s building and sign ahead of its return.
A character meet-and-greet location in Town Square at Disneyland has been blocked off with themed construction walls and scrim. Character attendants told WDW News Today that the area is being refreshed, though Disney has not announced how long the work will last.
The exterior refurbishment of Little Green Men Store Command in Disneyland’s Tomorrowland appears to be nearing completion after purple scrim and blue construction walls were removed. The work also refreshed the nearby Space Mountain mural and restored part of the shop’s weathered rock facade.
Disneyland has begun preparing Droid Depot in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge for the addition of animatronic Anzellan droidsmiths. The figures, previously shown at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, will be installed in a newly decorated area behind the shop’s cash wrap, although no installation date has been provided.
Exterior refurbishment continues at Disneyland’s Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree, where much of the surrounding landscaping has been removed as workers access underground infrastructure. The restaurant remains open during the work, but Disney has not announced when the project will be completed.
